Time for an Update

Things have been pretty quiet of late on the news front. Well actually a lot has been going on but most of it has appeared on our Facebook page and not here. A few fundraisers have been run and in the process we have purchased some chainsaws and whipper snippers and associated parts. They have been put to use assisting a Vietnam Vet in preparing for the fire season and a few smaller tasks around the area. Fast forward a few months and we we blessed with a very generous donation from Mr Chris Baker to enable us to purchase a club trailer. This will help us to help veterans and the community with our onsite works.

Shortly after we took delivery of our new trailer we had a working bee to erect a shelter for the trailer and equipment. Whilst this is a temporary arrangement, it is great to keep our gear out of the elements.

The Sub-branch has also supported Lincoln Park Horse and Human Rehabilitation centre by carrying out much needed repairs to the quad bike and running fundraisers to assist in the equine therapy they do. Part of our fundraising efforts is our upcoming Trivia Ride 2.0 where we will conclude our ride at Lincoln Park. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the day as a participant or just as an observer. Tickets are available on our team app event and all tickets include a sausage sizzle lunch.

One notable event in the club is the birth of the Trib-ute, Matt Keating has created a tribute to veterans of all areas on his ute and proudly shows it off on club runs and events as well as entering it in various Ute shows. Its currently undergoing some power plant surgery but hopefully will be back on the road real soon. Well dont Keato!

We will try not to let it go to long between news events so we can keep you all informed of the great work our members are doing
